President Vladimir Putin met with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.
Putin thanked the Prime Minister for his active participation at the Summit and the ideas expressed at the meetings with G20 Leaders. "Despite all difficulties, Spain is our long-term reliable partner. Our relations are very good. We don't have a single problem in our bilateral ties," he said.
He pointed out that the Summit helps resolve not only global economic problems but also issues facing individual countries. "We understand your concern over unemployment - you've spoken about this today. We have met here to find a way of resolving this problem," Vladimir Putin said.
The Russian President also spoke about Russian-Spanish relations. In his opinion, the sides should pay more attention to cooperation in investment and the real economy.
In turn, Rajoy thanked Putin for the warm reception accorded to the Spanish delegation and congratulated him on the excellent organization of the Summit.
