President Putin meets with Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta

Ahead of the G20 Leaders' Summit, Vladimir Putin met with Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Enrico Letta. They discussed, among other issues, the dynamics of trade and economic cooperation.

"Our bilateral relations continue to develop fairly actively. Italy is fourth in the world in trade with Russia," Putin said.

"I'm very pleased to meet you here and talk with you about all these areas. No doubt, this will benefit both sides and provide additional impetus in the development of bilateral ties," Putin emphasized.

In turn, Prime Minister Letta expressed confidence that the leaders will conclude numerous agreements in diverse spheres at the next meeting in Trieste in November.
