Energy Sustainability Working Group Meeting was held in St.Petersburg

On July 9-10, 2013 the Second G20 Energy Sustainability Working Group (ESWG) Meeting was held in Saint Petersburg. The meeting was aimed at summarizing the activities undertaken on energy-related issues by the Russian Presidency with the help of co-facilitating G20 partners, as well as discussing draft deliverables from the ESWG.

The co-facilitating countries and supporting international organizations provided detailed insight on the undertaken activities and summarized the outcomes of their work.

The group discussed the Draft Report by the Ministers of Finance to the G20 Leaders on energy-related issues to be considered at the upcoming Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting, which will take place in Moscow on 20 July, as well as the documents to be reported through the Sherpa's track. Another significant discussion was held around the Russian Presidency's proposals on possible ways to promote investment into new generation power infrastructure.
